27^th Annual Auction

“A Carnival in Paris”

Greetings on behalf of the 2012 Concordia Preparatory School’s Auction Committee! We are preparing for our 27^th annual dinner/auction fundraiser. Our event will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. on our school campus- 12723 S. Park Avenue Riverton, UT 84065. There will be both live and silent auctions, gaming tables, dinner with drinks and an event full of fun and excitement.

Donation Packets are available at the front desk for anyone wishing to contribute to the auction. Auction items will be accepted through March 5^th.

We are accepting applications for the 2012-2013 school year. If you or a family you know is looking for an excellent college-prep, faith-based, high school education, please contact Tia Donohoe – Director of Admissions at 801-878-1515.

Our next open house is March 9th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and again from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The option for your child to shadow a current Concordia Prep student is available.

Remember there is a discount for enrollent received by March 31st!

Building Dedication

Little Caesars Pizza Kits

The Class of 2014 (Sophomores) are selling Little Caesar’s Kits to raise money for their class. Class funds are used for such items as: a class banner, hosting of the Junior Prom, and a class gift to the school upon their graduation.

There are many items to choose from including pizza, pretzels, wings, mini calzones, breadsticks and cookies. You bake them when you want to, so they are great to have on hand.

Pizza Kit orders will be collected through Sunday, January 29th. Please contact the school office at 801-878-1515 for more information.

The Pizza Kits will be available on Friday, February 3rd, at the end of school, just in time for SuperBowl Sunday!

All Things New

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

The new year has come and brought Concordia many new blessings.

First, if you haven’t heard, we’ve moved! This fits well with our theme for this school year, “A New Creation.” This comes from 2 Corinthians 5:17, which reads “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” Well, the old has passed away and the new is most definitely here. We have a new phone number, (801) 878-1515, and obviously, a new address as well, 12723 S. Park Avenue Riverton, UT 84065. The students, faculty, and staff at Concordia are certainly enjoying our new home. The construction and unpacking aren’t entirely done yet, but we are full-swing into learning and 2nd quarter finals quickly approaching.

We also, would like to welcome the addition of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and Pastor Borcher to our home. Pastor will be serving as school chaplain for Concordia. A true blessing to have in our school.

We hope the new year brings you many new blessings as well.

Elementary Visitation Day

ELVIS Day- Concordia Prep will be hosting an Open House for all middle school aged students on Friday, January 27^th from 9:30 a.m. through noon. Each student will have the opportunity to tour our facility, meet with each of our teachers and get an overview of our curriculum and programming. Lunch and a time for students to mingle with one another is also part of our day. Currently, each of our Lutheran elementary schools attends. If you would like your middle school student to attend this special day, please contact our school office at (801) 878-1515.

Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow!

Our current facility has served us well for over 17 years, and it time we pay a little honor to it. On Friday, December 16^th at 7 pm we will have a small celebration after we finish loading the moving trucks. We will have light appetizers and drinks as we take a walk through memory lane. Please RSVP to Ms. Heimbecher at 801-266-6676 so we can ensure we have enough food and drink. (Also, please remember that the building will be in the moving trailers, so we will not have seating.)
